Richmond is located in the western foothills of the Green Mountains and on the eastern edge of the Champlain Valley. The Winooski River slices through the town, which is home to about 4,000 residents. Richmond is also home to the historic landmark, the Round Church, a 16-sided meetinghouse built in the early 1800’s. The neighboring town to the southeast is Bolton.
