Successfully selling your home or land is easy. At least that's what everyone tells us, and Tony agrees (mostly).

Tony's top tips for a successful real estate sale:

  • Know your local market conditions; getting it wrong will cost you enormously.
  • Price Smart - Competition delivers the highest returns.
  • Prepare For Buyers - Best impression brings the best offers.
  • Establish and maintain a high property profile in your market.
  • Disclose material defects. You can't hide it from a home inspector.
  • Qualify every prospective buyer — no random showings without a pre-qualification letter.
  • Recognize when and how to leverage competing buyer offers successfully.
  • Establish practical escrows.
  • Be careful what you agree too. Contingencies are as crucial as the agreed sale price.
  • Maintain constant communication with all the players. Respond immediately if only to say you need more time to respond.
  • Carefully observe deadlines: Time (too much) kills all deals.

So, yes, successfully selling your home or land is easier with research, careful planning, comprehensive marketing, and persistence.
