Route 25 follows the Waits River through East Corinth toward Bradford and Interstate 91. Kids in grades K-8 attend the Waits River Valley School in East Corinth, and Corinth pays high school tuition to the public or approved independent high school each student chooses. Current Corinth listings appear at the bottom of this page, and our Corinth market report shows recent sales and prices.
Corinth is a town of hills, farms, woods, and back roads, with no single downtown. Its seven villages are small clusters of homes and landmarks, and East Corinth, on the Waits River and Route 25, is the busiest. People come here for space and quiet, and many homes sit on several acres.
Bradford, to the east, is the nearest place for groceries, services, and I-91. The Town of Corinth website lists town meetings, services, and events.
Corinth students in kindergarten through grade 8 attend the Waits River Valley School on Route 25 in East Corinth, part of the Orange East Supervisory Union. For grades 9 through 12, Corinth pays tuition, following state law, to the accredited Vermont public high school or approved independent school the family chooses. Options the town lists include Oxbow Union High School in Bradford, Thetford Academy, Spaulding High School in Barre, Rivendell Academy, and Hanover High School in New Hampshire.

Buying land or a home on a back road? Check road access in winter and mud season, septic and well permits, and whether the land is enrolled in Current Use. Our Vermont Land Buying Guide walks through it.
Vermont's property transfer tax, paid by the buyer at closing, is 0.5% on the first $200,000 of a primary residence and 1.47% above that; 3.62% for a second home; and a VHFA-financed primary residence is exempt on the first $250,000. Estimate your payment, transfer tax, and cash to close with our Vermont Home Cost Calculator. Most Corinth homes have private wells and septic systems, so plan for water testing and a septic inspection; see our Vermont home inspection guide.
